A source reported that the Chevrolet Cobalt Compact was already replaced with the new Cruze sedan. Nevertheless, in South America, this condition does not happen. The new Chevy Cobalt becomes the newcomer. It is being introduced in pre-introduced form this week at Buenos Aires Motor Show starting from 17 until 26 June in Argentina.
This Sedan concept would be ready production next year and has developed by General Motors Technical Center in South America. Based on GM’s press conference, they do not want to tell more about the details but its size would be based on Chavy Sonic saloon or known as Aveo in Europe.
Based on GM if this cobalt would offer buyers four choices of engine ranging from 1.3 to 1.8 liter either manual or automatic transmission. It is also available either gasoline, ethanol (flex fuel), or diesel.
This model will be equipped with an aero kit on front and rear aprons, side skirts and a discreet boot lid spoiler. For wheels, it adopts 17-inch alloy wrapped to 255/45 R17 rubber and twins exhaust outlets.
Moving to interior, there are some upgrades could be found such as two-tone leather seats, chrome trim sunroof, and entertainment system with LCD screens integrated to the front headrests.
